C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) is a long-period comet from the Oort cloud, estimated orbital period of roughly 80,000 years, discovered early in 2023, which became a remarkably bright, possibly once-in-a-lifetime, naked-eye object in October 2024.
