NGC 5068 is a face-on field barred spiral galaxy in the Virgo constellation located approximately 22 million light-years away and has a diameter that exceeds 45000 light-years. At the centre of NGC 5068 is a supermassive black hole. This spiral galaxy can be compared to the Milky Way, which also has a barred spiral structure, with a supermassive black hole in the bulge. It is not visible through a pair of standard binoculars because its light is spread out over a wide area. Apparent magnitude 10.5.
